This timeless tale of love and rivalry set to unforgettable music, brings together a diverse cast of over 30 community members and features an 18-piece live orchestra of local musicians.WESTSIDESTORYisapowerfulandiconicpieceofAmerican theater, but it also reflects the social realities of its time, including deeplyingrainedracismandtheuseoflanguagethatcanbe harmful and offensive to contemporary audiences.Our community theater acknowledges that the portrayal of Puerto Rican characters and the use of racial slurs in WEST SIDE STORY can be painful and perpetuate harmful stereotypes.
